Google Skins its Personal Homepage
March 20th, 2007 by pamela
Google has announced more changes to personalised homepages, following up announcements from AOL, Yahoo and Netvibes by launching new skins for its personalised homepage.
Google’s new offerings give users six different themes to choose from, allowing them to customise their hompegae further than previously possible – these themes occupy the area containing the search box, while content headings colour match with the theme, while the rest of the page remains white.
The new skins are dynamic and change according to the local time, weather, bringing an increased sense of warmth and personality to the page. Although not yet live, you can see an example at CNET.
