Google Using Online Behaviour to Serve Targeted TV Ads

March 12th, 2007 by pamela

Google is testing a TV ads service based on keyword searches which will enable advertisers to effectively target users.

Currently only trailling in the US, according to the Wall Street Journal, customers of Astound Broadband are currently seeing the ads which advertisers have sold to Google during normal ad breaks.

This level or targeting could mean that advertisers would be able to accurately serve ads to viewers based on their online behaviour.

The Wall Street Journal reported Google as saying that the trial was “early phase… with a small number of partners and advertisers”.
