Social Media Site MySpace reveals all

November 5th, 2007 by Thomas

The leading social networking site, MySpace, will reveal its latest targeted web advertising technology this week. The site hopes to target users with what it calls ‘Hypertargeting’. MySpace already has 50 advertisers using the system which takes information from the network’s members’ pages. “It’s looking at what they say, what they do and what they say they do,” said Adam Bain, chief technology officer for Fox Interactive Media, the controller of MySpace. “It’s not keyword-based, so they don’t have to mention Tom Cruise for us to know they’re a fan,” Mr Bain told Reuters. This week’s Ad:Tech Interactive Marketing Conference in New York will give members of the internet advertising community a platform to launch new products. The conference has three central themes: Media and Branding, Emerging Platforms, and Performance Marketing and Consumer Behaviour.

Ambergreen have extensive knowledge of Social Media and use it as part of their integrated strategies.
