Main purpose of post
This is a development post in which you will have the opportunity to build on experience you have gained as a result of academic studies and initial work experience. The purpose of your role will be to support and learn from the search engine consultants and account managers who you will work alongside in a focus team to provide appropriate search and other internet marketing solutions for clients.

Key Skills and Experience
The attitude and personality of the candidate is important in the selection process. The close team working environment, level of customer contact and importance of communication, demand an agreeable, personable and conscientious applicant.
- Technical
- A basic knowledge of internet search engine marketing is a must
- The applicant should have a basic knowledge of:
- Programmes such as Google Analytics and HTML
- Should have the ability to learn how to write design specification guidelines for client sites as well as comprehensive reports for internal and client use
- The skills to review client websites for optimisation & other improvement opportunities and to ensure the delivered work matches the client brief
- Communication – Verbal and Written
- Good verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role to provide a framework to learn and develop to do the following:
- Prepare, deliver or be involved in knowledge transfer sessions to clients.
- Write comprehensive reports for both internal and client use
- Provide ongoing consultancy for clients
- Prepare consultancy documents for clients and internal departments
- Confidence to liaise with internal departments to communicate campaign strengths & weaknesses
- Attend client meetings with Account Manager to review campaigns and provide consultancy
- Attend & contribute to internal client team meetings
- Participate in internal training programmes
- Contribute to the delivery department meetings
- Team Working
- Must be competent and confident to work alongside and learn from senior employees, through active learning and active listening
- Can use co-ordination skills to change actions in relation to others actions
- Can work well with others and can offer support as well as offer skills
- Client Care
- Capable of speaking informally as well as formally with clients to update on progress
- Prepared to attend meetings with clients and contribute
- Analyse client traffic and visit trends using internal and external data
- Can provide clients with documents and reports written in a manner appropriate to the needs of the audience
- Provide site analysis, keyword analysis, links analysis and Competitor Analysis on client websites with observations and recommendations
