Thinking on a Different Level – Dundas Castle 09

Tue, 04/07/2009 - 11:52

Ambergreen's "Thinking on a Different Level" conference was a great success. Hosted in the stunning grounds of Dundas Castle, this years masterclass brought together speakers from Ambergreen, User Vision, Lynchpin, Exalead, Jonathan MacDonald Associates and Thomas Cook. They represented areas of excellence in Search and Social Media marketing, usability, analytics, enterprise search, mobile marketing and the client side experience.

"We tried to bring together an eclectic range of speakers and thought leaders from a range of areas of online excellence" said Grant Whiteside, Technical Director of Ambergreen. "The point we tried to get across was that nothing we do in internet marketing works in a vacuum, everything is measurable and everything we do is related to other marketing, technical and online PR activity".

Subject areas covered an eclectic range of topics including, Canonical tagging, What’s next in universal search, The do’s and dont’s of social media, The future of mobile (is now), Enterprise search and what it can do for you (if it’s done properly), The Thomas Cook case study, Lies, Damn Lies and Analytics and Usability for conversion and engagement. A panel session concluded the days activities with speakers representing Ambergreen, The Leith Agency, User Vision and Lynchpin before retiring for drinks, whisky tasting and dinner.

A highly experienced audience of digital marketing industry leaders enjoyed the all day event at the castle. They represented some of the largest in their field of publishing, gambling, tourism, retail and b2b services and provided some fantastic insights into their own experiences of developing and implementing market beating strategies.
